Vervain sometimes called as the Herb of Grace An unassuming plant with tiny bluish-purple flowers that appears, like a mist, on waste ground and roadsides. Vervain has a long documented reputation in the treatment of many physical and psychological problems. As a protective and purifying herb it was considered as one of the most magical by both the druids and the Romans- it has continued to be referred to in medical texts long after image and medicine were separated.
Vervain is a nervous tonic with a slightly sedative action. It is useful for treating nervous exhaustion and symptoms of tension that include headaches and nausea, depression and combines well with oats.
