Mugwort or Artemisia Vulgarts called the “mother of Herbs” mugwort has been considered a magical herb in many cultures. It grows robustly along roadsides and is said to protect the traveler. In some traditions, It was hung in the house or made into amulets to keep away evil spirits. Mugwort also repels insects, including moths.
This is an herb with many actions. Best described as a tonic with particular to the digestive and nervous systems, It reduces nervous indigestion, nausea and irritability. As a womb tonic it is useful to regulate periods, and reduce period pain and PMS. Fluff from the flowers is burnt as moxa in Chinese and Japanese medicine.
Used the flowers and leaves
At least ¼-1/2 teaspoon three times a day.
