SAGE PLANT
A beautiful evergreen plant with the fine purple flowers i early summer, sage looks strong and supportive. Like many culinary herbs, it aids digestion, while the familiar aroma recalls roast dinners.
it has antiseptic properties and can be used as a compress on wounds that are slow to heal, or as a gargle or mouthwash for infections of the mouth or throat. It is also said that it will darken graying hair if used as a rinse.
Sage reduces secretions it can be used to slow milk production during weaning and to reduce night sweats and menopausal hot flashes. During menopause its beneficial action is supported by the slight estrogen content of the herb.

if taking the sage regularly at therapeutic doses, take for three weeks, then miss a week before continuing.
